Cyrtodactylus tuberculatus

(Lucas & Frost 1900)

Etymology: presumably named from the Latin tuberculatus (= tuberculate), alluding to the strongly developed dorsal tubercles

Distribution: Cape Melville to Mt Leswell and also on Stanley Island in the Flinders group (a latitudinal range of approximately 190 kms), north-eastern Queensland.

Notes: This species is strongly associated with rock at most sites but inhabits fig trees on the banks of the Endeavour River and at Black Mountain. It is primarily an arthropod feeder but will also take small vertebrates (geckos and frogs).
