Etymology: From the Greek pro (=before) and naros (= flowing), alluding to the blending of the anterior edge of the dark body bands with the preceding pale interspaces.
Distribution: McIlwraith Range, north-eastern Queensland.
Notes: known from boulder-strewn creek-lines at about 500 m (alt).
