Queensland Museum hosts its first ever Blackout!

Join us in celebration of Aboriginal Peoples and Torres Strait Islanders culture on Friday 22 June 2018 for our 18+ after-hours Blackout event.

Featuring talented young artists from Digi Youth Arts and the Museum’s unsettle program, immerse yourself and be inspired by panel discussions, poetry, weaving, live music, roving performances, visual art and short films.

An evening not to be missed as we showcase Aboriginal Peoples and Torres Strait Islanders history, heritage and culture.

5.30pm - 9pm Curated Music Playlist, Level 2, Foyer
5.30 – 9pm Pop up Clap Stick Flash Mob, Level 2, Foyer
5.45pm – 8.30pm Torres Strait Island Weaving Workshops, Level 3, Discovery Centre
6.15pm, 7.15pm, 7.45pm Poetry Performance, Level 2, Digi Youth Arts Pop Up Stage
6.30pm Artist Panel Discussion, Level 2, Theatre
6.45pm & 8.15pm Ancient Bloods, Level 2, Digi Youth Arts Pop Up Stage

Food and Drink will be available on the night, the event is licensed. ID will be required to purchase alcohol.
