Ever wanted to know how a face is recreated from nothing more than a skull or a skeleton?

Discover how facial anthropologists create reconstructions for historical and research purposes together with Dr Susan Hayes, Senior Honorary Research Fellow with the University of Wollongong.

Join Dr Hayes in an interactive lecture, as she explains her work with forensic and archaeological remains (including the Belanglo ‘Angel’ and ‘Hobbit’), and discover what really happens during a forensic facial reconstruction.

Dr Hayes has worked for the Australian police and related agencies and recently returned from three years research with archaeological and paleontological remains in Southeast Asia.

This program is run with support from Inspiring Australia for National Science Week.
