Animal ID

National Science Week Event

Do you want help identifying a reptile or an insect?
Have you wanted to know more about what's living in your backyard or suburb?

Our Herpetology (Reptiles) and Entomology (Insects) curators will be stepping out of the lab and into the Discovery Centre to answer your questions about reptiles and insects.

Bring in your photos, specimens, skeletons or skins to work with our scientists to identify your animal and discover more about its behaviour, characteristics and habitat.
This is a rare opportunity to work on your discoveries and your questions, one on one with Queensland Museum scientists;  Dr Andrew Amey, Patrick Couper, Dr Chris Burwell and Dr Christine Lambkin.

Bookings Essential - Please phone the Discovery Centre on 07 3840 7555 or email for bookings or more information about this special event.
