How to make a Right to Information application

Before making a Right to Information (RTI) application you can check to see if the information is already available. You can:

Check our website

Check to see if the information you're looking for is already available from:

  • our publication scheme - information about the department, our services, finances, priorities, decisions, policies, lists and registers
  • our disclosure log (Released Information) - non-personal information released through the RTI legal process
  • other areas of our website
  • areas of the Queensland Museum that might have what you are looking for.

Contact us

Contact us on + 61 (0)7 3840 7555 or email info@qm.qld.gov.au if the information is not readily available. We'll help determine if the information is accessible through an administrative release process, or we'll advise if you need to make an RTI request to access it.

Submit a Right to Information request

If you need to make a formal RTI request, you can complete an online RTI application.
