The Queensland Museum is more than an exciting place to visit. We are the supplier of a wide range of products and services: from answering your questions on Queensland history and wildlife; to making you a life-sized replica of Muttaburrasaurus.

Regional Services

  • Museum loans regional network for pre-schools, schools, colleges and universities care centres
  • The Queensland Museum employs six Museum Development Officers (MDOs) working from Museum Resource Centres in areas of regional Queensland.
    The Museum Development Officers provide advice, information and training to small museums and galleries. Advice is provided in areas such as policy development, collection management, conservation, display development, programming and grant writing.
    The Museum Resource Centres have been established under tripartite agreements between the Queensland Museum, Local Government and Arts Queensland.

  • The Inquiry Centre offers an identification service for natural history specimens and artefacts, and answers questions related to Queensland's natural and cultural heritage. It is your first point of contact for the services listed below.
