Identification
Full size - 50 cent piece; leg diameter - pin. Grey cigar-shaped abdomen with white spot on end; sometimes legs banded and light transverse marks on abdomen.
Habitat
Typically found in cool dark areas - under bark, in gardens, litter, walls, beds. Most prevalent spring-autumn. Many species; Australia and New Zealand.

Rover.
Bite
Nip and run. Bites repeatedly. Usually mild local pain, redness, and small local ulcers that clear up in a few days. More serious reactions claimed in other states. Media reports of alleged bites are typically "spider-less" incidents.
