Identification
Full size up to hand span; leg diameter - pin to "O". Pale to fawn; carapace arched, no markings above; below with black, yellow or orange badge. Crab-like legs; front legs much longer than back. Fast, hunts easily upside down on ceilings or walls.

Habitat
Houses, forested areas, gardens, rainforest. Most common summer. Eastern Australia.

Ready biter; large fangs. Mild to severe local pain often with temporary cardiac complications.
