Identification
Full size, greater than hand span; leg diameter, pin to match, extremely flexible. Mottled dark abdomen or with pale broad stripes down length; head with pale margins.

Habitat & Range
Creek banks & streams; hunts on water; eats fish & insects. Australia. Most common summer.

Rover but builds nursery retreat for egg sac

Bite
Timid but probably causes mild local pain.
