Insect Loan Kits

Queensland Museum Loans has many loan kits available which have an insect theme and are suitable for a range of student ages. The immensely popular insect kits include an insect cabinet of 12 themed drawers; Insects & their Relatives (Arthropods) Collection; life cycle displays; a hands-on tray of specimens in resin blocks; preserved specimens; games and posters.

A new kit has just been introduced which focuses on collecting and pinning insects for insect collections. It provides samples of pinned insects displaying the correct and incorrect method of pinning the insects. A wide range of displayed insects allows students to understand the theory behind displaying insect specimens.
