Description:

  • Back is light to dark grey or brown; sometimes scattered with dark splotches
  • Sides, upper arm, groin, back of thigh and edge of hind foot with orange, red or yellow patches
  • Belly white or yellow
  • Obvious gland (swelling) on hind leg
  • Female 80 mm; male 75 mm
  • Mistaken for Cane Toads

Habitat and range:

  • Alluvial and sandy soils of forests, woodlands and disturbed urban fringes (build burrows)
  • Eastern Qld to northern NSW
