The Queensland Museum has a host of exhibitions and activities designed to travel to external venues, delivering Museum services to Queensland and taking Queensland to the world. They include:

Kids Time

1950s toy car on display

A century of learning through play. Incorporating smell, sound and dress-up clothing, the exhibition encourages 3 to 8 year olds to immerse themselves in play in times gone by and learn more about the world that their own parents or grandparents grew up in.

Great Railway Journeys of Australia

Explore the important role that train travel has played in Australian cultural life. The exhibition is complemented by an Education Kit, specially designed to provide activities for a younger audience. Great Railway Journeys of Australia is available for other Museums and cultural institutions to host at their venues.

Life on the Line

Take a journey through the daily life of the railway family, be it working on timetables, selling tickets, repairing steam locomotives or sewing uniforms, with this collection of over 60 photographic images. The exhibition is complemented by an Education Kit, specially designed to provide activities for a younger audience. Life on the Line is available for other Museums and cultural institutions to host at their venues.
