Eco-island - Couran Cove Environment Kits

Two object-based learning kits for Middle School, exploring the biodiversity of South Stradbroke Island, off the coast of South East Queensland.

Teachers can access these resources in two ways:

  • How living things survive in diverse island environments

    See the Teachers' Guide for tips on helping students to:

    • compare five distinct environments encountered on a transect of the island
    • explore the relationships between organisms and their adaptations for survival in each environment
    • extend this experience to a study of their own local environment.
