Megafauna - prehistoric giants from the Darling Downs
Developed by Queensland Museum, this exhibition is based on research from local Darling Downs sites. Megafauna evolved after the extinction of dinosaurs and roamed the Darling Downs from 1.8 million to 10,000 years ago and the sites on the Darling Downs are some of the most well-preserved and extensive in Australia.

Enchanted Rainforest
Enchanted Rainforest is locally focused and inspired by the Paluma Rainforest in North Queensland. Built around an awe-inspiring recreation of a fig tree, the exhibition's interactive displays teach visitors about the flora and fauna of a rainforest environment. It also includes information about the Indigenous land use of the forest and describes its special meaning to Indigenous peoples.

This special trip will celebrate the anniversary of the first train journey taken in Queensland, which occurred on 31 July 1865. The trip will depart from The Workshops Rail Museum at 11:00am retracing the same journey as that taken in 1865, and includes a roast lunch and dessert. Bookings are essential.

All aboard! Travel through Brisbane on an historic steam train and relive the splendour of a bygone era. It's BIG LOUD FUN as you board the steam train at Roma Street Station for a one hour trip through the City. Pass through twenty stations and enjoy two river crossings on your journey as you relieve the romance of rail aboard vintage carriages. Bookings are essential.
