Enchanted Rainforest
Enchanted Rainforest is locally focused and inspired by the Paluma Rainforest in North Queensland. Built around an awe-inspiring recreation of a fig tree, the exhibition's interactive displays teach visitors about the flora and fauna of a rainforest environment. It also includes information about the Indigenous land use of the forest and describes its special meaning to Indigenous peoples.

During October and November 2009, Queensland school teachers are admitted FREE into The Workshops Rail Museum, seven days a week. Take the opportunity to experience the educational offering of the multi-award winning Museum and plan your next school excursion. Get into the festive spirit with the Santa Celebration Heritage Diesel Train Journey 2!
Departing from The Workshops Rail Museum Platform, take a one and a half hour trip through the scenic South East Queensland country side before returning to the Museum to meet Santa and enjoy the Christmas themed activities.
Please note Heritage Train ticket prices do not include entry into the Museum.
