INVENTory (Level 4) gets visitors thinking, talking and creating with activities that encourage families learn together at scheduled times during Queensland school holidays.
Join us in January and March 2016 for Medieval Manor. Design your own flag, coat of arms or stained glass window.
Entry $2 donation per participant.
A Knight's Quest
Families visiting the Medieval Power: Symbols & Splendour with younger learners may wish to partake in our A Knight's Quest trail. Trails help families with children engage with exhibition objects. This FREE activity is available inside the exhibition. Suitable for ages 7+
In this interactive trail, the King asks you to solve the riddle:
Take this Quest, brave knight,
look and learn as you go;
Clues are found in the treasures from times long ago.
Asks the King, who is ruler across all the land:
How can you move a castle with just one hand?
Medieval Themed Weekends
Families can join us for a series of special themed weekends. Enjoy demonstrations from slow-motion sword fight to Medieval dance routines.
Older children may enjoy talks presented by Medieval experts and enthusiasts (talks suitable for ages 15+).
Medieval Themed Weekends are FREE events.
Hear some amazing stories and facts as we focus on something special in the Discovery Centre. You might learn about our remarkable Australian native animals, or amazing objects and stories from our collection. Topics change regularly; you never know what you might discover.
