Histories of Queensland
Created as a separate colony in 1859, Queensland has changed dramatically. Cultures and societies have been transformed by political leaders, technological inventions, industries, wars, social events, the environment and changes to the population. These local, regional, state, national and international changes influenced how we represent our state, how we are viewed by others, and the way we live today.
Parade for 8-hour work day.
