Planning your School visit to Undressed

What you need to know to plan your school visit to Undressed: 350 years of underwear in fashion.

Explore this unique collection of garments, advertising, photos, quotes and film footage, documenting the history of private and intimate costume. Collections range from historical to hysterical, from dandy to daring, corsets to crinolines.
The exhibition offers social, technical, historical and aesthetic contexts, by showcasing primary sources from the Victoria and Albert Museum collections.
Undressed: 350 years of underwear in fashion is recommended for ages 12+ and offers an exhibition experience of approximately 30-60 minutes. Exhibition includes:

  • 7 minute introductory film  (optional)
  • Themed exhibition zones, featuring garments, advertising, photos, quotes and video footage.
This touring exhibition is at Queensland Museum for limited time only, opening 12 Nov, 2014 – 1 Feb, 2015.

During school terms, tickets for additional adults can be purchased on the day from the ticket desk on Level 2. Pre-purchasing is recommended for visits during peak periods (weekends and holidays).

A visit to Undressed: 350 years of underwear in fashion is a ticketed experience. Bookings essential.
Submit  the Schools & Groups Booking Form.
This form allows you to indicate if you wish to include other exhibitions or programs within the Museum and/or Sciencentre. Additional visit information is available on our planning page or call (07) 3840 7608 Mon- Fri 8:30am-3:30pm.

Additional Information

  • Photography is not permitted in the Undressed exhibition.
  • The G20 Leaders Summit occurs during the exhibition period. Please make sure you check the Museums’ website closer to November 2014 for any scheduled changes to the Museum’s opening hours.
  • Students are advised not to bring individual bags, however a cloaking facility is available for group property at the School Group entry on Level 0 (Grey Street).
  • Entry conditions of the Undressed exhibition include no large bags, food and drink (including bottled water). Adult Supervisors can temporarily check items at the Museum Cloak Room on Level 2 (free).
