Celebrate National Science Week with a night time adventure at the Museum. Explore the five levels of science the Museum has to offer, including hands on activities, demonstrations and pop-up shows.

5 – 6pm: Level 0, Playasaurus place off Grey Street
5:30 – 6:30pm: Level 2, Main Foyer Doors

  • Taxidermy with Queensland Museum specialists
  • Virtual Songlines with virtual heritage developer and digital artist Brett Leavy
  • Holograms with BOP Industries
  • Parasite specimens with Parasitologist Dr Marissa McNamara
  • Muttaburrasaurus et al and the palaeoenvironment in Australia during Cretaceous times with Dr Matt Herne
  • Mad scientist tunes with DJ Steph
  • Robot Wars with Ipswich Rotobtics Sports Group
  • Burning questions of science with Dr Joel Gilmore


Food and Drink 
A selection of hot and cold family friendly food and drinks will available for purchase. The event is licensed. ID will be required to purchase alcohol.
