Marine Parks and Reserves

National Science Week Event

A lively performance created to develop the students’ appreciation of nature and to consider their personal connection with our planet.

Gowie-Paul Robinson is a folk/rock musician with a great love and passion for the environment. He brings this passion, along with a wealth of experience gained with the Australian Marine Conservation Society and The Wilderness Society, to the Queensland Museum for a series of lively acoustic performances.

Designed to enhance student’s appreciation of nature in a fun and interactive way, Gowie-Paul will engage with the students through environmental facts, PowerPoint, video and Q&A; leading students to consider their personal connection with the planet.

Gowie-Paul Robinson is also an accredited secondary teacher (HPE) and has personally raised over $2 million for charities dedicated to the protection of Australia's natural environment. His show is apolitical.

About the Australian Marine Conservation Society

The Australian Marine Conservation Society is the leading charity devoted solely to caring for Australia’s oceans and their wildlife. Formed in 1965, it has a proud history of success, having protected the Great Barrier Reef from mining and oil and gas exploration and since then we have driven campaigns to promote sustainable fisheries, protect marine wildlife, and create marine parks around Australia.
