Queensland Museum Anzac Centenary Gallery

In March 2014, the creation of a new Anzac Legacy Gallery was announced as part of Queensland’s Anzac centenary commemorations.

Queensland Remembers is scheduled for opening in 2018 at Queensland Museum South Bank. The $14.3 million gallery will feature an Anzac exhibition that explores the social legacies of World War One in Queensland including many things that are part of daily life that were created in response to this devastating conflict.

The gallery will also become the permanent home of one of the world’s most significant war relics – the A7V Sturmpanzerwagen armoured assault vehicle, Mephisto.

The Queensland Government has pledged $7.6 million towards the development of this project. The remainder will be raised through community contributions, corporate donations and industry support.
