The Essential Process

Join the Holloway design team for an intensive series of ‘essential design’ workshops over 4 weeks in October. No experience necessary, just a love of quality design, craftsmanship and sustainability.

Hosted by the Queensland Museum, you will learn directly from the Holloway studio directors how to take a pair of sunglasses from concept to execution using ‘essential design’ principles and sustainable, reclaimed and recycled materials. Not only that, but included in your ticket price is a pair of your very own designer Holloway frames (usual RRP$600) to take home.

Over the course of the series, the studio will select one design to be developed into production. You can choose to take home this design or select one of the Holloway standard range of designer sunglasses.

10am - 4pm, Saturday 5 October
10am - 4pm, Saturday 19 October
10am - 4pm, Saturday 26 October
10am - 4pm, Saturday 2 November

Tickets are $250 and are available online from the Museum Shop. Tickets include admission to all four workshops.

Follow the Holloway blog for updates about the project.
