Explore the tastes and smell of a mix of traditional and contemporary Afghan cooking at our lively demonstrations.

The food of Afghanistan reflects its place at the heart of the ancient Silk Road, combining flavours and techniques from the many cultures that passed through the important trade routes over centuries. Key ingredients in Afghan cuisine include fragrant herbs like mint and coriander and staples like basmati rice, yoghurt and dried fruit and nuts.

Join international Chef Karim, whose expertise is in the traditional foods of places including Afghanistan, Iran and Africa, as he demonstrates five courses of a traditional Afghan menu, sharing recipes and techniques along the way. Tasting treats will be available.
