Wind in Bminor

"The Wind in Bminor is a performance installation based on the wind and its relationship to humanity. Merging physical performance, live and recorded voice, music effects and projection, with a structure which is inspired by the wind, the piece verges on the operatic as stories of the wind randomly emerge and dissipate across space and time, punctuated by the making and serving of tea - a symbol of the wind's influence on our global economy.

The Wind in Bminor maps the winds movement around the globe, and follows multiple narratives across time and space to explore the relationship between humans and wind and how this relationship has shaped our world. With a soundscape encompassing everything that occurs in the space, the mood will range from the neutral, to the ambient to extreme noise. All choices are random, but always there is a patterm, just as the air that circulates our planet. Storms are caused by dozens, perhaps hundreds of forces that intersect and interact."

The performance runs for 6 hours and visitors are welcome to come and go as they please.

May 17 & 18, 10am - 4pm. INVENTory, Level 2.
