My Terrific Hieroglyphic

Does your name tell a story?

Using storytelling, children will discover some of the different symbols, marks and pictures people from around the world use to tell stories, both from the past and the present.
Children will be introduced to Egyptian hieroglyphic picture writing and will match pictures to letters in an interactive game. Using everyday images to make your own picture writing, children will create their name in picture letters as wearable art. Children will also use their picture name to make up a funny story. Children will need to know the letters of their first name or work with an adult.
